Install Internet Explorer 11 On Windows 10

I have exact same problem. Had fully updated Win 7 SP1 system and IE11 would not open.

Reset to to default using MicrosoftFixit50195.msi. Still would not open. Uninstalled IE11.
IE10 would not open either. Uninstalled IE 10 and IE9 worked. Tried reinstalling IE10. Would not open. So uninstalled and back to IE9. Never a problem with Chrome or Firefox. I believe problem started with recent windows update, but not sure because I use IE so seldom (only on sites incompatible with Chrome.
A rarity these days). But some of those sites are ones I need. I had a few Windows 7 computers with the same problem; IE upgraded to 10 or 11, launch Internet Explorer and no window opens; nothing happens. Watching task manager, iexplore.exe starts and then stops immediately. Uninstalling back to IE9, then installing IE10 or IE11 provided the same symptoms, even though the installs had no errors. At first, we were giving users new profiles.

While that worked, it was a bit extreme. I finally nailed it down to a registry value for Internet Explorer called OperationalData. For some reason, the value type was String. The value type needs to be QWord for IE10/11. I do not believe Internet Explorer 9 uses the OperationalData value, so I am not sure how it got there or why the type is String. Regardless, installing IE10 or IE11 should replace the value with the appropriate type.
I am using the following command line to resolve this issue as it comes up. Open a command line (CMD) window, elevated as Administrator, then run the following. This will delete the OperationalData value regardless of the type. Reg.exe delete 'HKCU Software Microsoft Internet Explorer Main' /v OperationalData /f Hope that helps!! ProcMon might show whatever and whenever it would be queried, e.g. Filtering with Operation Is RegQueryValue. Adblock Plus won't launch/install IE11 64-bit. If you already have Internet Explorer 11 installed, you need to change two settings to enable 64-bit processes for Internet Explorer. Keep in mind that enabling Enhanced Protected Mode is required to use 64-bit IE11 processes and it.can. and.probably will. lead to issues, especially in regards to plugins so consider yourself warned when running IE11 64-bit. Also, IMO, Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer is pretty horrid - you're better off using the EasyList Tracking Protection List (TPL).
Go to Internet Options, then click the Advanced tab. From there scroll down to the security section and check the box that says 'Enable 64-bit processes for Enhanced Protected Mode'. Then check the box below it 'Enable Enhanced Protected Mode'.
Finally, exit IE11 completely and reopen it. I believe that IE 11 64-bit is better than 32-bit, because it does help more over 1gb. The 32-bit does support up to 1gb only when I use Facebook, then it eat up to 1gb then it crashed, because of too many ads, video or something more.

FYI, there's no real benefit to use the 64-bit Internet Explorer 11 processes even if you're using a 64-bit OS. Even if you're experiencing performance issues with 32-bit IE11, you'll probably experience them with 64-bit IE11.
In which case your best bet is to use an alternative browser like Google Chrome or Firefox. A word of advice, if you're going to try a new browser, try Chrome first. Chrome, like IE, has some form of a sandbox and I strongly recommend using a sandboxed browser in this age of malware. Last time I checked, Firefox does not have a sandbox. Unless you're going to get a third party sandbox application (like Sandboxie), I would not recommend using it for anything adventurous.
My 'secure' browser is Chrome, running FlashControl and Ghostery, all running inside SandboxIE with the lowest possible permissions. (Secure is relative, better than nothing, not as good as an isolated VM).
